We came up with a concept for a restaurant which also functions as a flexible work area. The plan is designed as a village, with different areas for different types of activities such as eating, working, meeting and relaxing.
In the past few years we repurposed some areas within our own three story high showroom. Some floors are now used as offices for other companies.
This design I have made to show one of the possibilities.
The Kano, named after a similar shaped Dutch pastry, is a small bench I designed to be an eyecatcher in the room. With the combination of different materials (in this case: cherrywood, Gloss black/green MDF, clear varnished MDF and high quality fabrics) the possibilities are endless.
With Bart Vos at Vos interior I've designed two different HI-FI objects. These are designed around existing speakers, subwoofers and surround receivers. Integrating these with cable management, sound, heat and aesthetics in mind makes for a beautiful piece of furniture.
